First, which version of the ProScanner do I have?
ProScanner V4.x has a tower with three cameras.
ProScanner V3.x has a tower with a single camera that slides up and down to take scans.

For ProScanner version 4.x
You can see which versions of the ProScanner software, hardware (firmware) and sensors you have by opening your ProScanner app on your tablet, and clicking 'Settings' in the lower left corner. On the Settings page, look on the right side for the following information:
The latest versions of the hardware and firmware are as follows:
- Software version: 2.1.0
- Hardware (firmware) version: 5.0.4
- Sensor version: 1.0.2
If any of these are numbers lower than what is shown above, you can follow the instructions below to update immediately. If you do not complete these updates, your ProScanner will experience failures and issues.
For ProScanner version 3.x (earlier models of the ProScanner)
The above numbers apply only to ProScanner V4.x - if you have a ProScanner V3.x or earlier, your information may be a bit different.
The latest versions of the hardware and firmware are as follows:
- Software version: 2.1.0
- Hardware (firmware) version: 4.1.3
- Sensor version: 1.0.2
Updating your software and hardware
To update the software version:
If you experience an issue while upgrading or installing your Fit3D ProScanner app, please restart the laptop/tablet and ensure you have a good internet connection. Then reinstall the app using the instructions below.
Install ProScanner update:
- Open an incognito window in Chrome - "Ctrl + Shift + n" on your laptop or on a tablet click here:
- Download this link: http://proscanner.fit3d.com
- Double click downloaded file and it will install app update
To update the hardware (firmware) version:
- After Launching the ProScanner app, you should see a green "settings" button on the bottom left of the screen.
- Then click on the button at the right of the screen that says "Update Firmware" this will update the system's firmware.
- After the system has been updated you will need to reset the system - restart the computer and unplug/plug the tower from the power source
After this is complete your system will be running an updated version of our software which will run a diagnostic checklist each time you open the app.
If, for whatever reason the checklist shows any failures, it will walk you through the steps necessary to resolve.
